The Community Champions Cup is sponsored by 'Friends at Beckstone'.

2024-2025
Autumn Term 2024

Maisy from Year 3 (and her Mum) were chosen for their Charity work. Both had their hair cut, Maisy’s Mum donated 15 inches and Maisy donated 11inches. In doing this they were also sponsored and raised a lot of funding for ‘Jack's Journey’ a local charity that supports local families living with childhood cancer.

Autumn Term 2024

Our Chair of Governors, Mr Simon Turk, was chosen by the FAB Committee for the amazing fund raising work he has done for the school over the pat year with Christmas trees, decorating rabbits for Easter and the fun packed duck race. All are very appreciative of his wonderful efforts to support the school.

2023-2024
Summer Term 2024

Mae from Y4 was awarded the trophy. She has single handedly raised £30 which she donated to the Bingo Night funds by making and selling bracelets. Her kind donation and sense of community led to the awarding of this cup.

Summer Term 2024

Leo from Year 4, Reuben from Year 2 & Dallas from Year 1, three brothers, were awarded the trophy for supporting the Workington community by going round and picking up litter during the ‘Uppies & Downies’ event over the Easter holidays. Their kind hearted work had been noticed by many parents and reported back to school.

Spring Term 2024

The winner for this half term was Holly from Y6. Holly taught herself how to crochet and now gives freely of her time to run a crochet club for fellow pupils. They are creating all sorts of wonderful items.

Spring Term 2024

The Community Champion Cup winner was Mrs Cunningham. This was a staff choice as they wanted to mark their appreciation of all the hard work she does in raising money for the school to enhance and enrich the children’s experience.

Autumn Term 2023

The initial winner is Bella from Year 5. She was chosen because she goes the extra mile to try and raise money for their chosen charity. She gives freely of her time to create goods to sell and is an integral member of the ‘Bright Stars’ club. She always thinks of others and strives to look after everyone and is very kind. A worthy first winner.
