- A commitment to Healthy meals (the school contractor already is achieving the meal standard recommendations set by the National School Meals Review Panel).

- Break time activity is enhanced by the provision of an adventure playground and a tyre park that all children have a turn on during the week plus an Outdoor Classroom.

- Every child from Year 3 to Year 6 has swimming lessons each year.
- The school runs its own swimming gala and organises Workington’s Schools swimming gala.
