Year 1 &2 Kinder Cricket Festival

On Monday 23rd May, 15 of our year 1s and 2s went to Workington cricket club to take part in the Allerdale Schools Kinder Cricket Festival,
along with 6 other teams.

There were 3 stations; one for batting, one for bowling and one for catching. In Batting, we got a total score of 375, in the catching we got a total score of 195 and in the bowling we got a total score of 550. This allowed us to finish the 3 stations with an impressive 1120 points, winning the competition by nearly 200 points to second place.

At the end of the competition, Mrs Cunningham and Miss Wilson were asked to choose a star catcher, a star bowler and a star batter.

Our star catcher is Jessica Mitchell, for not dropping the ball once!

Our star bowler is Tristan Emblin, for getting the most amount of points out of anyone from Beckstone!

And our Star Batter is Kobie Metherall, for having a huge amount of power in her batting.
