High Five Netball Final

On Monday 15th November, 8 Year 5/6 children competed in the second round of High Five Netball at Lakes College. They were up against schools from around the Allerdale area, namely; Bridekirk Dovenby, Broughton Primary, Tomlinson Juniors and Distington. The team had a really steady start to their afternoon as they were able to maintain their winning streak, showing excellent teamwork throughout their matches. However, as the afternoon progressed, the team knew they were bound to have a challenging match! Then came Broughton Primary. Both teams displayed an incredibly strong defence. There were no goals scored from either team in the first half, even though the opposition had several attempts at goal! The rotation of positions for the second half secured their final win of the day, with an amazing goal from their debut Year 5 player and another two blinding goals in the final few minutes of the match from one of the Year 6s. Again, Beckstone made it through the round-robin without dropping a game, only this time, scoring with the maximum amount of points. What a team!
