On Monday 26th November we went to Tullie House in Carlisle for the day.
We had a browse in their shop to start the day, then we went into the museum to explore the exhibitions.
After lunch, we had an Ancient Egypt workshop where we expanded our knowledge on Egyptian life, mummification and Egyptian writing and were introduced to their gods and goddesses which they believed in.
The children looked at lots of different real and replica artefacts, created headdresses, practiced the art of mummification and wrote messages using hieroglyphics to Pharaoh 'Tutantullie'.
At the end of the session we took part in a ceremony to finally sent Tutantullie on his way into the afterlife.
It was a fantastic trip out, and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
They all did a great job presenting their information!
