To make the tombs we first looked at images of Tutankhamun's tomb when it was discovered.
Then the children painted the bottom of their tombs and 'wallpapered' the sides.
This was quite a challenge as each piece of paper had to be cut to the correct size and glued in neatly.
Next the children made a Tutankhamun mummy out of clay and wrapped it in bandages.
After that, they carefully cut out a net of a coffin.
They decorated it using images of Tutankhamun's real coffin for inspiration and stuck it together.
To finish off the tomb, the children made a treasure chest using a cardboard net and a treasure bowl with beautiful jewels inside it.
