Canopic Jars

We have been learning about the process of mummification and the reasons behind it.

The children learned that the organs would be removed from the body and persevered in jars called Canopic jars.

Here are the Canopic jars made by the children.

They have different tops as each jar held a different organ and was represented by a different god.
