Year 3 - Allerdale WW1 100 project

Today Year 3 were visited by Sarah Stockdale from the Allerdale 100 Project.

Sarah delivered a very interesting workshop to the children all about World War 1.

She showed us what life was like in 1918 in comparison to 2018.

Then she showed us some uniforms which soldiers and nurses may have worn in wartime.

Sarah explained that women also had very important roles, making ammunition, working on farms and nursing.
