Democracy Week

5LJ last week learnt how bills are made to create a new law in Parliament. We re-enacted this happening and had our very own House of Commons, House of Lords, Monarch, Prime Minister, Speaker, Government MPs, Opposition MPs, Life Peers, Hereditary Peers and a Bishop.

The children debated ideas like, whether to decrease the age of criminal responsibility from 12 to 10 and whether or not to ban the use of electronic training collars for cats and dogs.
