Creating Anglo-Saxon Houses

First we looked at photos and videos of replica Anglo-Saxon houses to learn what they looked like. Then children worked in pairs to create the base of their house by using masking tape to attach pieces of cardboard together. Next, they cut paper straws to the correct length and stuck them to the house walls using PVA glue, to represent wooden logs. Finally, the children painted their houses and added hay for the roof.
