Rosh Hashana

Within RE this term we are learning about different Jewish festivals.

One of the festivals we have looked at has been Rosh Hashana which started on the 20th September and finished on the 22nd September.

Rosh Hashana is the beginning of the Jewish New Year and is a time when Jews reflect on their behaviour as well as apologising to those they have hurt over the past year.

On Rosh Hashanah it is traditional to eat honey, or by dipping an apple into it, which signifies a sweet new year.

As part of our learning we tried some of these foods.
