Greek Myths - Theseus and the Minotaur

After studying the Greek gods, we then read Greek myths. We used Marcia Williams version of Theseus and the Minotaur.
 

During drama we worked in groups, each taking on the role of one of the characters from Theseus and the Minotaur - Theseus, Ariadne, the Minotaur or the children. As the action 'froze' we thought about the character's feelings, what they would be thinking and what they might say.

   

After reading the Marcia Williams version of the Greek myth, we then created our own beasts and setting to be used when we wrote our new versions of the myth.
