Building Learning Power

We are concentrating on building our perseverance.

Mrs Finlay gave us a task to create a sarcophagus.

However, all we were given was a template, a pair of scissors and a glue stick.

Mrs Finlay and Mrs Sewell listened to our comments as we tried to make a sarcophagus.

At first some of us found the task very difficult and were ready to give up because we were stuck.

We were encouraged to discuss the task with our friends, ask for help from our friends, look and see what others were doing and also use other resources if we thought this might help.

We were all able to complete the task and this gave us a sense of achievement.

We had persevered and succeeded.
