Pyramids

Using 3D nets, we created our own pyramids. We wrote information about the pyramids on each of the faces.

This included:

 Pyramids were built about 4,000 years ago

The pyramids were built when the Nile had flooded as the farmers were then free to work as labourers.

It is thought that between 2,000 and 100,000 men were used to build a pyramid.

The sphinx was built to protect the pyramid.

Pyramids could contain different chambers containing all the treasures believed to be needed in the afterlife.

   

We then made our own pyramid models using different equipment and materials.

These included Lego, Duplo, Magnetix, art straws and card.
