Building Houses

In Science, we have been investigating Everyday Materials.

We explored the properties of each material and explained why they are used for specific purposes.

We evaluated the designs of each of The Three Little Pigs' houses and then created one that the Wolf would not be able to blow down.

Mr Lynch, our student teacher, then modelled ways to build the houses.

He gave a criteria for the houses - they must be strong, they must be waterproof, have transparent windows and most importantly ...
not blown over by a wolf!

In groups of 3-4, the class made their own houses and will test them soon.
