Drumming

We had a great time exploring the jembe drums.

We made different sounds by using the flat of our hand on the edge of the drum and a cupped hand in the centre of the drum.

We also tried using the drums flat on the floor and held off the floor between our knees, this created different sounds too.

We also created our own musical compositions and listened to the patterns in music.

We used the drums to sing Baa, Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and the Alphabet Song.
