Rosh Hashanah

This half term we are learning about Jewish celebrations.

We found out about how and why Rosh Hashanah, Jewish New Year, is celebrated.

We had our own celebration by sampling apples and honey, which are eaten at Rosh Hashanah.

Jewish people believe that the sweetness of the apples represents their hope for a sweet new year.
