Anderson Shelters

This term we are learning all about the effects of war. This week we have learned about Anderson shelters and Morrison shelters.

We discussed the differences between the shelters and what it would be like to spend time in one.

We also looked at photographs of people sheltering in Underground stations.

We planned our own Anderson shelters and created a sketch showing what we wanted it to look like.

The first step was to cut out our template pieces and paint them.

Next, we used double sided tape to assemble our Anderson shelters.

Finally we evaluated our Anderson shelters by thinking about what went well and what we could do to improve our shelters.
