We have been studying the Jewish festival of Purim in our RE lessons.

The sessions began by reading a play script of the story followed by a story ordering task to which we had to add our own sentences. After watching a video of how the Jews celebrate Purim in the synagogue we decided to make our own Hamantashen cookies
(jam pasties!!) made in the shape of Haman's tricorn hat and hold our own Purim celebration.

We went to bake in the Staff Room

Writing out the recipe - we were given the Ingredients list

We had to write out our own Method

Weighing carefully

 Rolling out the shortcrust pastry

Working in two's - Mrs Walker helped too!
