Our Elections

Each year, every class in our school elect one boy and one girl to represent them on the school council. In our class, each child who wanted to stand in the election gave a short speech as to why they should be chosen.

We did the same to elect our eco-monitors and each child gave a short speech as to why they should be chosen.

Everyone listened really carefully and then decided on who they would like to vote for. We kept our votes a secret and posted them in the ballot box.

We were very proud of Bella and Seb who were elected as our school councillors and Libby and Parker who were chosen to be our eco-monitors.

I was very proud of my whole class for listening so respectfully to each speaker, for voting privately and taking care not to hurt anyone's feelings and for accepting the results with grace and kindness.
