Investigating Magnets

We enjoyed investigating magnets. We tested objects around our classroom and we discovered that only metal objects are attracted to a magnet.

Then we discovered something amazing about magnets. Did you know that magnets can move metal objects without even touching them? We also found out that not all metals are magnetic. Only metals with iron in them are attracted to magnets, so that is why we used paper clips for our investigation. Paper clips are made from steel and steel contains iron. We are super scientists!
