Science Afternoon at St Joseph's

On the last day of term, 5LJ were invited to St Joseph's Catholic Secondary School for a fun-filled Science afternoon!

The children were introduced to new (and exciting) equipment, such as Microscopes and Bunsen Burners. The teachers at the school talked to the children and labelled together the two pieces of scientific equipment. Most importantly, they discussed how to be safe in a Science lab whilst using them and showed them how to operate them. You could only image the excitement in the room, when they were trusted to burn different chemicals into the 'roaring flame' in order to see what colours they produced.

5LJ thoroughly enjoyed their visit to St Joseph's Science department, and can't wait for their next visit!
