Music - Wild Symphony

This half term we have been studying a very special book called The Wild Symphony by the world famous author Dan Brown.
The book is very special for many reasons but here are just a few:

• The book also comes with an app making this book an Augmented Reality style book. The app allows the reader to play the classical music that was written especially for the book.
• Inside the book we met lots of lovely animals who all played a different instrument and had a moral to share along the way.
• In the pages of the book were hidden letters which spelt out instruments from an orchestra.

As you can see the children really, really enjoyed the book and the lessons we did around the book. The final activity the children completed was to draw their own animal (fictional or real) playing an instrument and also coming up with a moral for their class. I think you’ll agree that the pictures are amazing well done everyone!
