Beacon Trip

Our school trip to the Beacon Museum began with an exciting journey on the train to Whitehaven!

Thanks to Mr Walker for organising the train journey for us.

When we got to the Beacon we had a look around the Gladiator exhibition and the other areas of the museum.

We saw lots of interesting artefacts, including skeletons and Roman objects found in Cumbria.

After lunch we had a lesson called The Romans Are Coming!

The children listened really well to some interesting and gruesome facts about Romans.

Finally, the children had the chance to handle some weapons and armour.

Then we caught the train back to school. We had a wonderful day!
