Fire Station Visit

Today we visited Workington Fire and Rescue Station as part of our study on The Great Fire of London.

We were shown modern fire fighting equipment including the fire engines, cutting tools and protective uniforms.

After this, we practised our skills using a real fire hose by aiming at target.

Then we were given a full tour of the station and found they had a gym, kitchen and even room with an Xbox!
