Our chicks from 'Living Eggs'

On Monday 10 eggs arrived in an incubator for us to look after.

On Tuesday cracks started to appear.

When we arrived at school on Wednesday 7 eggs had hatched! The new chicks were very tired!

On Thursday we moved the 2 brown 'girls' and 8 yellow 'boys' into a brooder box with a light bulb for warmth.

   

The chicks have inspired names: Daisy and Tweetie Pie, Superman, Hulk, Robin, Spiderman, Shark, Superman, Ben10 (the last to hatch).

They have inspired some great paintings from the afternoon class.
