Darwin's Delights - Tribal Role Play

6HG have learned about the many places Darwin travelled to. In January 1836, Darwin visited a large tribe of aborigines in Australia. The men painted themselves with white spots and lines and held great dancing parties. After the dancing, boiled rice and sugar was distributed to the delight of all.

To the delight of 6HG, we were able to re-enact the tribal dancing parties with face painting included, and we were lucky enough to cook the rice with sugar in our classroom. We sat together and enjoyed the delicious new flavours.
