All about soil!

Today we learned what soil is made up of as part of our rocks topic. We dug a hole in the soil and picked some up. Then we tried to roll it into a ball. If it would not form a ball the soil is sandy. If it formed a ball but broke apart when squashed, it is silty. If the ball stayed together when squashed it is clay soil.
