MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON 17 November 2006
AT BECKSTONE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Mrs. Scott recorded the minutes of the meeting
Mrs. Hardy discussed the income and expenditure sheet and reported that we now have £2807.56 in the bank having had a Gift Aid refund of £270.98 from the sponsored obstacle event.
Requests for Expenditure
All proceeds of the Christmas Raffle will be donated to this event.
The remaining funds required to be raised from pupil fundraising events.
Mrs Bagley has requested funding towards wall displays for the playground. This will include interactive words and pictures. Mr Warbrick is to request details of costs which may then be discussed at the next meeting.
Christmas festivities/gifts were also discussed

Fire Brigade - Chip Pan Fire Demonstration - Mr Warbrick to organise
Day Raffle - Children to donate prizes
Cake Stall - Children to bring cakes
Santa's Grotto - gift of a selection box for each child entering (see above)
Guess the weight of the cake - Mrs Hardy to contact Mrs Douglas
Book stall - children to donate unwanted books
50p bag - children to fill bags provided by school with unwanted toys
Brick a Brack
Lucky Dip - Mrs Finlay to buy prizes
Jar Stall - Mrs Clark
Guess the name of the Bear
Rudolph Dust - Mrs Finlay to make
Advent Calendar - Mrs Kelly
Calendars and Beckstone Bears
Tea, Coffee, Juice, Crisps and Biscuits
Mr Warbrick to send out a newsletter requesting cakes and unwanted books and provide each child with a clear bag in which to bring their unwanted toys.
If possible all PTA (and any other willing helpers) to help set up stalls on Thursday 30th November at 4.30.
All PTA members are invited to the school Christmas Lunch on 15th December.
Please provide names to Mr Warbrick so that he may provide numbers to the
Mrs Scott to contact Mr Dodds to see if Santa can attend!
Christmas Raffle Prizes
To date we have received:
2 Complimentary Cinema Tickets from Plaza Cinemas
4 Golf Umbrellas from NatWest
If anyone has received any other donations please let Mrs Scott know
Due to the school being unable to stop parents parking on Eadie Street it has been suggested that a Walking Bus Scheme utilising the old railway line may be feasible. Mrs Henderson to look into this.
