All members confirmed they have received the minutes of the last meeting which can also be viewed on the School website.

Treasurers Report

Mrs Hardy discussed the accounts showing a healthy balance of
£7082.66 this included proceeds of £1200 from the Christmas Fair and £900 from the Christmas Raffle and the purchasing of selection boxes £457.86 and 1st and 2nd Raffle prizes totalling £120.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Christmas Fair a roaring success!

Events for 2010
The PTA is to hold a Family Quiz Night on Tuesday 16th March at 6pm

Entry £2 Adult, £1 child or £5 Family (max six to include at least one adult) entry fee to include Quiz, Hot Dog and Drink (crisps may also be purchased separately).

The Quiz is to be written and conducted by Mr Warbrick

Prizes for winning team of small cream egg for children and bottle of wine for adults.

Heads and Tails game during the interval to be run by Mrs Henderson 50p per entry. Prize being a Large Easter egg.

Raffle also to be held, Mr Warbrick to request prizes for this from parents.

Mrs Finlay to purchase Hot Dogs, Rolls, Tomato Sauce, Milk, Sugar, 1 large Easter Egg, 5 small Easter Eggs, 2 bottles of wine, dilute juice and to check the level of remaining crisps from Christmas fair.

Julie Hardy to purchase prizes for Easter Event ie 24 prizes for Nursery, KS1 & KS2 Egg & Bonnet Decorating competitions to be held on Thursday 25th March.

Sponsored Event to be held on 17th May.


Mrs Henderson has requested funding to purchase and install 4 stage lamps in the School Hall. The Hall (and lighting) is not only used for productions but also dance and movement sessions, class assemblies, graduation performance, pupils showing talents and also professionals are invited to come and coach the children.

An estimate of between £800 and £1000 has been obtained to include:

4 lamps £75 + vat
Bulbs £32
G Clamp £16
Safety Chains £30
Wiring to console £200 (faders etc)
Labour charges also being taken into consideration
Members agreed to this purchase

Funding of £100 per year group was also agreed to purchase outdoor play equipment ie £800.

The PTA has also agreed to the purchase of Autograph Books for the Year 6 Leavers.

Any Other Business

The school is to hold a two week Multicultural Fortnight celebrating what cultures make up the United Kingdom, ending with a St Georges Day Parade on Friday 23rd April (weather permitting) alternative parade date Monday 26th April. A grant of £250 has been received from the Race Relations Officer in the County further requests for funding may be made to the PTA.
