On Sunday, 13th November some of our children walked in the Remembrance Day Parade in Harrington.

We met at 9.15 at Harrington British Legion. Kelly joined us.

And Danielle and Beckstone Bear did too!!!

We all wore our poppies.

Corbie arrived. He had been waiting patiently for us outside.

Ilanya and Elise were our Yr 6 representatives.
They have marched with us for many years now and they were going to lay the wreath.

Here is the wreath. Some children from the school wrote the message on it.

The Mayor got ready.

The soldiers got ready.

And we were ready so we went outside to take our place in the Parade.

Don't we look smart!!!

Some of the girls even wore their poppies in their hair.

Beckstone Bear led us.

Then the Parade set off.

The soldiers walked quite quickly but we managed to keep up with them!

When we got to the church, we sat and listened to the service.

We were VERY good!

After the service, we walked to the cenotaph.

Four soldiers were guarding the cenotaph.

We saw some more pupils from our school.

Then the flags were lowered.

The bugle sounded.

The wreaths were laid.

The flags rose again.

And the service was over.

Mrs Jackson would like to thank all of those who gave up their own time to take part in the Parade.

She was a VERY PROUD teacher on the day!!!
