St George's Day

We celebrated St George's Day today.

In literacy we listened to the story then completed a sequencing activity.

In numeracy we wrote subtraction number sentences when the dragon ate some of the villagers.

St George finally came to the rescue!

We all had great fun dressing up and acting out George and the Dragon story.

We also acted out the story using small world figures and a castle.

We made masks.

We made flags.

We made hats.

Some friends re-read the story then wrote their own stories in the writing area.

We made St George's Day cakes and shared them with lots of other people.

We had a great day celebrating England's Patron Saint.

Mrs Clarke taught us a song too.
